Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a dynamic Regional Manager to oversee a group of stores within our Furniture Division. In this role, you’ll lead, support, and guide store managers to ensure the successful execution of business objectives and the delivery of an exceptional customer experience.

Your core focus will be to:

  • Maximise profitability across the region
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and systems
  • Drive operational excellence and retail performance
  • Grow market share and manage business risks
  • Lead, develop, and support store teams effectively

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee regional tactical plans in collaboration with Admin and Operations Managers
  • Ensure retail systems, procedures, and best practices are optimised and adhered to
  • Manage and support store managers to meet sales targets and customer satisfaction levels
  • Monitor store performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Oversee staffing and HR practices in the region, ensuring compliance and productivity
  • Implement merchandising standards and ensure alignment with company branding and policies
  • Drive the region’s growth by expanding market share and managing risk proactively
  • Foster a high-performance culture with a strong focus on customer service

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Valid Driver’s Licence

Advantageous:

  • Diploma in Retail or Business Management

Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years in a Branch Management role in a large retail store

Advantageous:

  • Experience managing multiple branches across different regions

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of financial and business principles (e.g., gross profit, growth metrics)
  • Familiarity with FMCG retail operations
  • Strong knowledge of merchandising principles and store layout standards
  • Cross-functional knowledge of retail departments
  • Solid understanding of Industrial Relations (IR) and HR processes
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
