Inclusive Cities Intern
Key Duties
- Review of key urban policies and legislation, in particular the Integrated Urban Development Framework (IUDF)
- Assist with data collection, such as interview transcription and summaries
- Help the Comms team to develop media posts to promote the projects of the programme
- Develop meeting reports for reference group meetings
- support the reference group meetings through capturing content, facilitation where appropriate, capturing attendance, and summarising content
- Assist with report writing and develop presentations based on the reports
- Supporting the Programme Manager with any other specific projects to advance the research, peer-to-peer learning, and partnerships of the programme

Sustainable and Resilient Cities Intern
Key Duties
- Support research and data collection on sustainable urban development practices
- Support resilience assessments and risk profiling for metropolitan cities
- Assist in drafting reports, policy briefs, and knowledge products on sustainability
- Assist in preparing reports on urban resilience strategies, disaster risk reduction and green infrastructure
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities, including webinars and learning exchanges
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops, and help develop and disseminate communication materials highlighting sustainable and resilience initiatives
- Support in maintaining programme databases and assist with project tracking and reporting
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating sustainability projects and initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Applicant must have completed a three (3)-year qualification/degree in one or more of the following disciplines:

Well-Governed Cities Intern
Key Duties
- Research & Data Analysis:
- Conducting desktop research on key policy areas, legislation, and international best practices related to urban governance and municipal finance in metropolitan municipalities
- Assisting in drafting and compliance of research reports, policy briefs, and presentations
- Providing logistical and administrative support for workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagements with metropolitan municipalities, national departments and civil society
- Preparing meeting agendas, taking accurate minutes, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items

Governance, Strategy and Partnerships (GSP) Intern
Key Duties
- The production and distribution of SACN Council and Board reports, agencies and minutes, and update associated documents
- Monitor SACN Council and Board reports, agencies, and minutes for correct and consistent production
- Handle confidential reports, including printing, distribution, register maintenance, and release of confidential items as required
- Prepare SACN Council and Board reports on government-related matters as required
- Taking minutes of SACN Council and Board matters arising schedules
- Compile various company reports and related documents, e.g., the Government Framework
- Develop, document, and interview administrative procedures as required
- Undertake special projects as directed by the Executive Manager, Governance and Communications
- Provide general administrative support and backup support to the Government Unit
- Play an active role in identifying and managing risk in day-to-day activities and projects
Fundraising, Communications and Marketing Intern
Key Duties
- Develop leads for fundraising opportunities
- Develop proposals for fundraising opportunities
- Update event/program flyers, graphics and other marketing material
- Update and maintain SACN’s social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting, scheduling, and reporting Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn updates
- Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communication
- Assist in planning and writing all communications-related material, including SACN e-newsletter

Key Duties
- HR interns engage in a variety of tasks that contribute to smooth HR operations, such as

- Supporting onboarding activities for new records
