Requirements

• Grade 12
• LOGIS exposure and/ or induction course will be an advantage

Knowledge and Skills

• Computer literacy
• Basic knowledge of supply chain duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics
• Basic knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service
• Basic knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment

Duties

1. Update and maintain a supplier ( including contractors) database
2. Register suppliers on LOGIS system. Request and receive quotations
3. Capture specification on the electronic purchasing system
4. Place orders
5. Issue and receive bid documents
6. Provide secretariat or logistical support during the bid consideration and contracts conclusion process
7. Place orders for goods
8. Receive and verify goods from suppliers
9. Capture goods in registers database
10. Receive request for goods from end users
11. Issue goods to end users
12. Maintain goods register
13. Update and maintain register of suppliers
