Requirements

  • Grade12 or equivalent qualification
  • Human resource management experience will be an added advantage
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent administrative skills (planning, organizing and coordinating)
  • Sound knowledge of PERSAL system
  • Computer literacy with extensive knowledge of Microsoft program (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of legislative frameworks
    • i.e., Employment Equity Act
    • Skills Development Act
    • Basic Conditions of Employment Act
    • Public Regulations as amended and PFMA
  • Ability to work under pressure

Duties

  • Administer the operations and functions of human resources in the institution
  • Implement conditions of service and benefits
  • Implement recruitment and selection policies and procedures
  • Leave administration, employee exist and maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain record keeping and filing of HR documents
  • Provide an audit trial for easy retrieval during investigations and audits, trace movement of files, and process documents
  • Capture leave and claims on persal system and process other documents to e-government daily
  • Provide accurate information/advice to all stakeholders
  • Address human resource administration enquiries and able to meet deadlines
  • Accept responsibilities given by the supervisor from time to time and report to the supervisor
