Requirements
- Grade 12, Diploma in Security/ Risk Management/ Policing or equivalent qualification.
- PSIRA Grade B will be an added advantage.
- Valid driver’s licence code B (Pre- driving test will be conducted).
- 2 years’ relevant experience in security environment or policing.
- Physically Fit,
- Be prepared to work under pressure.
- Computer Literacy.
- Firearm Competency.
- Shift workers.
- Six-day worker.
Duties
- Conducting patrols to protect Municipal Infrastructure.
- Enforcement of By-Laws in supporting other SBU’s.
- Investigation of Security breaches.
- Attending to complaints related to By-Laws violation.
- Attending to events taking place within the municipal jurisdiction and escorting the Executive Mayor to various places.
- Monitoring or attending Council meetings.
- Monitoring community protests, picketing and strikes.
