
HR Support Officer

Job Description
- Support with internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
- Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding assistance
- Support the HR team with administrative tasks and daily operations
- Streamline processes and ensure compliance with Legislation
- Coordination of certain HR Projects/Initiatives
- Employee Relations & Wellness
- Payroll Support
- Assistance and preparation with Annual Submissions (BBBEE, Skills, Equity)
Roles and Responsibilities
- Employee Relations – Responding to employee inquiries, assisting with conflict resolution, and supporting employee engagement initiatives. Assist with Employee recognition programmes·
- Recruitment & Selection process – Drafting job descriptions, posting adverts, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating feedback
- Compliance – Ensuring legal and policy adherence in HR practices, assisting with HR audits and Departmental Inspections.
- BBBEE – data collation and administration of the information
- Employment Equity – assisting with data interpretation to compile relevant reports to submit to the Department
- Skills – gathering data to compile WSP and ATR for HWSETA Updating Employee records
Qualifications and Requirements
- Preferable 3year qualification in Human Resources with a minimum of 3year’s experience in a HR position or Equivalent of Grade 12 Certificate with 8+ years proven experience in a HR position
- Prior working experience on VIP Payroll is essential
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation such as BCEA, EE Act, Skills development Act, Labour Relations Act etc.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, internet-based applications, HR Software
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence and own transport will be advantageous
