Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate effective communication between buyers, finance, transporters and suppliers
- Manage the Backhaul schedule and coordinate with Transport and Receiving teams to ensure timely collections
- Compile, analyse, and report on monthly Dropshipment and Backhaul budget and ensure Accounts Pack is aligned
- Process and submit invoices on a month-end basis for Dropshipment and Backhaul
- Communicate Backhaul performance statistics to relevant departments to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
- Update Backhaul rates and communicate this to suppliers monthly
- Manage supplier SLAs and contracts, including the onboarding of new suppliers
- Oversee the issuing, ordering, and management of gate-pass books, stationery, and packaging materials
Minimum requirements
Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate
- 2-3 years’ experience in Logistics or Financial Administration
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for reporting and data analysis
- Basic understanding of how to manage budgets, process invoices, and interpret financial data
- Demonstrated reliability and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Good organisational and time management skills to handle competing deadlines, especially at month-end
