Minimum Requirements

- Matric
- Read and write
- Computer Literacy would be an advantage
Knowledge and Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of product handling, labelling and storage practices
- Familiarity with basic math and warehouse management
- Planning and coordinating with other departments
- Storage area control
- Safety Health and Environmental aspects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
Duties & Responsibilities
Managing jobs / work orders
- Load/off-load stocks at customers receiving and on site.
- Load/off-load crates at customers receiving and on site.
- Ensure correct stocks are off-loaded at correct customers by comparing stock with an invoice.
- Ensure that production always have sufficient crates.
- Separate clean crates from dirty crates and top up water when water level is low on the crate washer machine while washing.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained.
- Ensure truck load bin floors are clean at all times.
- Attend and participate in all relevant company safety programs.
- Maintain workplace safety and follow established safety guidelines.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices this would include making sure that you are wearing required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety.
- Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
- Utilizing continuous improvement mind-set, assist in identifying opportunities to improve process.
- Ensure any crates washer defaults are reported to your line manager.
- Ensure any pallet jack/trolley defaults are reported to your line manager.
- Report total crates washed per customer and damages found.
- Work shifts as required and you may be asked to go out with delivery vehicles/wash crates depending on operational requirements from time to time.
