Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 10-12 or equivalent (ABET).
- No experience required.
- Experience in physical labour will be an added advantage, ability to liaise with all stakeholders.
- Knowledge: of working procedure in a laundry working environment.
- Knowledge of government policies.
- Must be physically and mentally fit.
- Must be able to read, write and Team player.
- Should have good interpersonal skills Be prepared to do physical labour.
- It is a legal requirement that employees wear protective clothing.
- Willing work shifts.
Duties
- Sorting,Counting, folding and ironing of Linen (Clean and soiled).
- Off-loading of trucks (soiled linen) and loading of clean linen.
- Counting bags for clean and soiled linen.
- Delievery of clean linen to hospitals.
- Willing to rotate.
- Preparation of linen for ironing department.
- Keeping of the laundry environment and working area’s by following standard procedures.
- Perform any other duties as delegated.
- Ensure occupational health and safety is observed.
