Job Description

The Driver Salesman will be responsible to manage allocated load and/or vehicle on assigned route with a strong focus on maintaining and growing volumes through customer service and to utilize the company’s vehicles effectively to achieve the company’s goals.

Qualification Requirements

Matric
Must have valid Code 10 driver’s license and PDP

Experience Requirements

2-3 years in a similar role

Skills and Competencies

Truck housekeeping – ensuring trucks are neat and clean at all times
Incident and accident reporting – ensuring all incidents and accidents are reported to management timeously.
POD control – all POD’s to be signed, stamped, and accounted for
Fuel consumptions – meet targets set by the company.
Stock control – monitor the offloading and loading of all stock from the truck and ensure 100% accuracy.
Pallet control – monitor the offloading and loading of pallets from the truck and ensure 100% accuracy.
Daily Vehicle Checklists – trucks to be checked daily, checklists completed, defects reported and signed and handed to the fleet controller/supervisor.
Reconciling at site after route
Banking of cash
Returning all POD’s
Attend Invocoms

Working Conditions

Pressurised environment
6-day position
Required to work Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays as per shift roster
