Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Being responsible for all general financial administration, documentation and filing 
  • Ensure invoices, payment requests, and reimbursements are submitted and processed accurately on Approval Max and Xero 
  • Generate monthly management accounts 
  • Generate invoices, statements and quotes for various programmes 
  • Debtors and creditors management Assist with SARS (eg VAT, EMP201, UIF & PAYE) and COIDA matters  
  • Manage online shopping processes 
  • Manage petty cash 
  • Assist programme teams with tracking expenses and allocations on ApprovalMax 
  • Update and track the donor balances and flag areas of concern 
  • Assist with Section 18A submissions, preparation of AFS and importing of budgets to Xero when required 
  • Support the onboarding and training of new staff on financial systems 
  • Assist with financial reporting as required 
  • Reconcile vehicle logbooks monthly 
  • Maintain up-to-date asset and insurance register and ensure alignment with Xero 
  • Manage the office supplies and assist with smooth management of head office 
  • Any other financial, administrative and operational duties as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BCom finance or accounting qualification or equivalent. 
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience is essential. 
  • Computer literacy, especially with Excel and cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero and ApprovalMax) is essential.
  • Experience with MS SharePoint is beneficial. 
  • Strong attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience in NPO’s with donor finance management is beneficial
