Job Advert Summary
Boxer is looking for a dedicated Human Resource Officer to join our team at our Polokwane Distribution Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organising, maintaining, and updating personnel records, managing timekeeping data, addressing employee relations matters, and ensuring compliance with labour laws. This role will also involve recruiting and hiring new staff, as well as supporting staff training and development initiatives to help build a strong and effective team at the new facility.
Minimum Requirements
- Higher Certificate or Diploma in HR or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant HR experience.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Labour Law.
- Experience in recruitment and employee relations.
- Foundational HR knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
PRP Function:
- Ensure daily staff clocking records are correct and valid.
- Calculate and monitor staff hours, report trends, and compile overtime for management approval.
- Investigate and ensure leave forms are accurate.
HR Function:
- Organize, maintain, and update personnel records in internal databases.
- Manage an HR assistant and handle all HR-related correspondence.
- Provide guidance to staff on policies and procedures.
- Assist in recruitment, job postings, and hiring processes.
- Support employee inductions, transfers, and exit interviews.
IR Function:
- Investigate incidents, manage employee relations, and provide guidance on disciplinary processes.
- Counsel employees and assist managers with conflict resolution.
- Efficiently manage the grievance process.
Staff Uniforms:
- Order, issue, and control staff uniforms.
Stationery Management:
- Order, issue, and control office stationery.
