- Basic literacy
- Relevant experience in performing cleaning tasks
- Physically fit and in good health
- Ability to stand and walk long distances
- Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

- Ability to do physical work for continuous periods related to operation and maintenance activities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work in a group
- Good communication skills
