Requirements

• Basic R425 qualification (i.e., diploma or degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council.

Duties

• Demonstrate effective communication with patients, supervisors, and other clinicians, including report writing.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care is offered.
• Display concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care and willingness to respond to patient’s needs.
• Able to plan and organise own work and that of support personnel to ensure proper nursing care.
• Perform clinical nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice, nursing standards and quality assurance standards.
• Demonstrate an understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practice.
• Willing to rotate through the departments.
• Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards.
• Work as a team player.
• Guide and teach or mentor those in a level under you.

1. The fully completed and signed new Z83 form should be accompanied by a detailed recently updated CV, copies of your qualifications, identity document and driver’s license do not need to be attached upon application, only shortlisted candidates will receive communication from HR to submit certified copies on the day of the interview.
