Apply for the Rand Water Process Control Assistant Sedimentation, based in Vereeniging. The successful incumbent will be responsible to assist the Supervisor to isolate the Sedimentation Tanks by opening and closing manual valves and mounting drop gates. Further assisting in general cleaning of MOL plant, sampling kiosks, Poly plant, Silica plant Water Recovery and Upwash plant, Chlorine rooms, Ferric Plants, toilets, Change Rooms and Eating facilities. Install/Operate sludge pumps/conveyors to remove sludge from the Sedimentation Tanks.
Minimum Requirements for Process Control Assistant Sedimentation: Rand Water
- Grade 12
- Basic understanding of the water treatment process.
- Able to work on suspended floors.
- Safety training
Primary Duties
- Opening and closing of manual valves and drop gates.
- Install & operate sludge pumps/conveyors in cleaning of sedimentation tanks
- Cleaning of Sedimentation tanks & Carbonation bays.
- Assist in isolation and installation of portable handrails, slide gates, winches & pipes.
- Clean sand traps and assist with general housekeeping duties.
- Assist in Filter House and with Sedimentation tank cleaning when required.
