Minimum Requirements
- A recognised academic qualification: Senior Certificate / National Senior Certificate / National Senior Certificate Vocational.
- Open to:
- Registered tertiary students,
- Unemployed persons with one or more tertiary qualifications, or
- Unemployed graduates.
- Strong numerical skills, with Mathematics / Mathematical Literacy at Grade 12 level.
- Second-year tertiary students or higher will have an added advantage.
- Previous experience in examinations administration (Examination Assistant / Quality Assurer at District Office, Marking Centre, or Office-based) is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, control, and distribute scripts to marking teams.
- Verify the correct number of scripts and marksheets per batch during the marking process.
- Assist with the control, distribution, and scanning of scripts.
- Ensure that:
- All questions are marked,
- Marks are calculated correctly, and
- Totals are transferred accurately to the script cover page.
- Confirm that marks are correctly captured on the marksheet.
- Address discrepancies in collaboration with marking teams, ensuring corrections are made on both the script and marksheet.
- Reconcile, control, and arrange scripts per subject and paper, ensuring they are numerically ordered for indexed archival after marking.
