Location: Themba Water Depot

Job Purpose

  • To provide administrative technical support to water and sanitation operations and management by implementing and coordinating processes to achieve operational goals
  • Manage and coordinate all asset and fleet-related issues

Application Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • At least one year’s relevant working experience in water and sanitation operational administrative support, and fleet and asset control services
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience working with SAP will be an added advantage
  • Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary Functions:

  • Create and finalise service requests on the maintenance management tool, including capturing maintenance information
  • Assist in creating purchase requisitions and reservations for the procurement of products or services, and track the flow of purchase requisitions and approvals
  • Archive all maintenance management documentation, including timesheets, quotations, purchase requisition forms and other supporting documents
  • Assist the foreman with the allocation of service requests and draw up monthly performance reports for the sections
  • Attend to any correspondence and enquiries with regard to fleet management
  • Ensure the effective flow and availability of fleet-related management information
  • Manage the availability and reliability of vehicles and equipment for operational activities
  • Ensure the registration and deregistration of City-owned or leased VEMs in IMIS with the approval of the supervisor
  • Ensure that motor vehicle accidents are correctly registered with the necessary documents attached through the insurance claim process within 24 hours after receiving the appropriate documents
    from the user, and release the claim
  • Conduct movable asset control and verification from time to time
